Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026
The Mehmet Akif Çakmak Library is for reading the works published by AYNET. Every work can be read without an account and without giving any identity; an account is a convenience offered only to those who want one.
Nothing is asked of you in order to read
You need no account, no name and no email address to see the shelf, open a book, search the full text or download a file. There is no ad tracking, no advertising identifier is read, and no third-party analytics or advertising tool is used. No data collected is ever sold, used for marketing or shared with third parties.
The optional library account
You may open an account so that your shelf and notes can later be synchronised across devices. To open one you give your name and email address and grant consent for processing; a one-time verification code is sent to your address. No password is used. You may strengthen the account with a passkey, in which case only the public-key record is stored and no fingerprint or face data ever reaches the site. Where sign-in with Google or Apple is enabled, the provider-verified name, email and stable account identifier are received; the provider’s access and refresh tokens are not retained. Your name and email are used only for signing in and account management, never for advertising or profiling.
Deleting your account and data
The “Delete my account and data” button at the bottom of the account window removes your account, linked sign-ins, sessions and passkey records immediately and permanently; no separate backup copy is kept. If you cannot sign in, you may send your deletion request to website@aynet.com.tr. The step-by-step procedure and the list of what is deleted and what is kept are on a separate page.
What stays on your device
Your shelf order, favourites, reading position, page notes, highlights, language choice and the books you saved for offline reading are kept in your own browser or device alone. They are never sent to a server and cannot be read from any other site. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app removes all of it; you can also remove items one by one from inside the app.
Measurement uses no cookie
View, reading-start, like, download and footer brand-medallion click counters are kept anonymously on the server; no measurement trace is written to your browser. Visitors are told apart by a short digest of the IP address and browser details taken together with a secret salt and the current date. Because the date sits inside the digest, that trace changes every night, nobody can be followed from one day to the next, and raw IP addresses are never stored. A record also holds which book, which language, the page path, device type, time zone, referring address and the country code derived from the IP; country is used only in aggregate counts and no city or location is taken. Short-window repeats and known automated access are not counted.
The only cookie used
The fact that you have seen the notice strip is kept for one hundred and eighty days in a cookie named aynet-kitaplik-cerez; it serves no other purpose and can be cleared from your browser settings. If you have an account, a session cookie is also used; it is invalidated when you sign out or delete the account.
The password-protected work
One work (KAF) is protected by a username and password. What you type is processed only for that check and is not recorded; the gate opens only with the correct credentials and wrong attempts meet a rate limit.
Search runs on your device
The full-text search index is downloaded once and searches run on the device. The words you type are never sent to a server.
Reading aloud
Reading aloud uses the operating system’s own speech synthesiser on the device. Neither audio nor text leaves the device.
Security in transit
The site and the app work over HTTPS only; every connection to the server is encrypted in transit.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address and the date above is updated.
